The NUTREN Center was established in 2008 as a joint entrepreneurial initiative promoted by scientists from the Metabolic Pathophysiology research group and the Genetics group, respectively affiliated with the Department of Experimental Medicine and the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Lleida, the only Spanish university with a focus on agro-food and specializing in nutrigenomics
We generate knowledge for the nutritional control of aging and associated pathologies, turning it into a valuable resource for companies in the agro-food sector as well as the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and healthcare industries; thereby contributing to ensuring that scientifically-based solutions reach the general population
